Fall is coming quickly and soo it will be time to decorate our homes for the season both inside and out. The perfect fall weekend activity, and a fun way to get your pumpkins for decorating this year is by visiting a pumpkin patch! For you pumpkin needs big and small these are the best pumpkin patches in Tampa where you can find pumpkins to carve and pumpkins to turn into a fall treat.

Many are free to visit although a few do charge an admission fee. Several farms and pumpkin stands also offer so much more than just pumpkins too, there is everything from petting zoos to contests and games. And don’t forget to bring the camera because oh my goodness, there are SO MANY cute photo opportunities you are not going to want to pass up.

First pumpkin patch in Tampa we are highlighting is Gallaghers. Get ready to pick your pumpkins up in style. Gallagher’s sets up THE CUTEST station every year where you can pick out your pumpkins for the halloween season. Not only do they have a large selection of pumpkins but there are photo ops galore. I am talking about an entire crate wall filled with pumpkins plus other fun stations scattered throughout the pumpkin stand. There is also an animal pen where you can pet goats plus a stand with local food for sale. All locally owned by the cutest family, this is a must.

Brooksville Pumpkin Patch

Dates and times: Sept 30th – Oct 30th from Fri 5 – 9pm, Sat 10am – 4pm and Sun 12pm – 4pm.

In 2022 this small town pumpkin patch will be celebrating its 20th year in operation. It is small and definitely in a small town outside of Tampa but very cute. It is nicely decorated with cute photo stations. There is a large variety of pumpkins available to pick from so everyone can find what they’re looking for. My son’s favorite was the small animal pens with bunnies, pigs, goats and even a calf for the kids to look at. Don’t forget to snag a ride on a tractor-pulled hay ride around the block. And of course there are vendors to shop from and food trucks so bring an appetite.

The Pickin’ Pumpkin Patch

Unlike most of the pumpkin patches in Florida which are actually just pumpkin stands where you buy pre picked pumpkins, here at the Pickin’ Patch you can pick pumpkins from the vine. Come to visit the pumpkin patch then stay to play after you’ve found the perfect pumpkin. There is a hay fort, hay maze, corn maze and of course, some cute photo ops.

Visit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s annual pumpkin patch and all proceeds will go to help the homeless animals they care for. There are always hundreds of pumpkins to choose from with prices from $1 to $20.

Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch

There is actually a second pumpkin patch location put on by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The pumpkin patch at Hyde Park is put on by the HSTB and just like their first location all proceeds help the homeless animals they care for. This spot is a great photo opportunity and a great way to support a good cause.

Visit another fun pumpkin patch in Tampa at HarvestMoon Fun Farm and get both a pumpkin patch and a corn maze in one fun location. The fun doesn’t stop there though, there is also a cow train, jump pillow, petting farm, playground, tree house and games for everyone to enjoy. Don’t worry about packing in food, there will be plenty to purchase on site.

Head over to Tampa’s favorite food hall for a pumpkin patch with the best views around. The pumpkin patch is set up on the lawn of Armature Works along with games for the whole family, live music, and vendors. There is a food drive to help Metropolitan Ministries so if you can make sure you bring along a couple non-perishable food items to donate. 5 or more items donated gets you a free beer from 81Bay too.

There is a pumpkin patch to pick up all the pumpkins you need this fall AND a pumpkin launcher where you can toss them across a field. I assume anway. For an extra special treat they offer trick or treating on the 30th too.

The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch

This fun pumpkin patch at the United Methodist Church has thousands of pumpkins to choose from. With Photo ops for the whole family, plus kid friendly activities on the weekend make sure you stop by. Ride a train to a pumpkin patch where kids get to pick a pumpkin out to take home! Parking is free, train boarding begins 30 mins in advance and the train ride itself takes 30 minutes. Such a fun a unique way to get to and from a pumpkin patch. There are also hay rides, crafts, and games to play. One thing to note if you are bringing young kids is that no strollers are allowed.

Enjoy a warm fall day on the farm at Hunsaders Farm down south. There are pumpkins for purchase, a fun playground, live music, hayrides, chainsaw sculpting and more. The kids will definitely love seeing the animals in the petting zoo too. If you feel like elevating your day on the farm there are several activities you can add onto your day for an addition fee. Visit a cute local nursery for your pumpkins this year at Kerby’s Nursery. They put on several local events throughout the year that are worth visiting as well. After you’ve picked out your pumpkins make sure you visit the pumpkin wall and the butterfly mural for a picture or two. They are also hosting a costume day on the 29th for all the kids and parents that wish to dress up.

Wolfe’s Produce Market Pumpkin Patch
