Southern Grace Lavender Farm
Southern Grace Lavender Farm is known as Florida’s first lavender farm and is located in Southport, FL. This is in the panhandle of Florida about 40 minutes outside Panama City.
The farm was started by Jason Leabo and his family and they settled on lavender through a series of unfortunate events and help from the Lord Almighty. Jason is an air force combat veteran and he has worked hard to make the lavender farm a reality.
Here at Southern Grace Farm you can actually stay overnight at the lavender field if you are traveling by RV. They host visitors through the Harvest Hosts program, a unique platform that connects farmers and RV travelers looking for a place to stay.
The family also runs and operates a small gift shop where they sell all kinds of lavender products from teas, candles, lavender essential oil, soaps, wax melts, food and even lavender plants so you can try growing your very own plant at home.

When Does Lavender Bloom in Florida?
Phenomenal lavender can bloom up to two times a year. Once in midsummer and again in the early fall (NY). You can also reach out to the farmers and ask when they expect the flowers to bloom if you want to try and visit when there are lavender flowers to see. Otherwise you can visit the fields and the farm shops any other time of year.
Varieties of Lavender Grown in FL
Phenomenal lavender is the variety of lavender grown by both farms in Florida due to its hardiness and ability to withstand the humidity. Other strains of lavender such as English lavender don’t do as well in Florida’s humid climate.
