Apps to Save Money Today

Do you like saving money? Because I do!!! So I rounded up all the best apps to save you money that I use weekly, if not daily. Small amounts of money add up more quickly than we think and that is why every cent counts. I plan on using most of the money I save to travel more.

For a double reward I always shop using credit cards that give me cash back on my purchases. That means that I and getting money back from these apps AND my credit card. I hope these apps help you save money and get you closer to your next dream vacation too.

Or maybe with all the money you save you’ll want to buy new furniture. Well I have a post on how to save TONS of money doing that too. 😉 So now you don’t have to choose between furniture and travel.

Fetch Rewards

Fetch Rewards is a great app to ear points back on all receipts that you save. You simply take a picture of the recipe in the app and then earn points for the receipt itself as well as for brand specific purchases. All you have to do is save receipts from grocery stores, convenient stores, and e-reciepts.

My favorite part is, thanks to the e-reciepts, I get rewarded for my Amazon purchases.

Every 1,000 points is equal to $1 that you can redeem for gift card rewards. Make sure you use code 92VKG for an extra 2,000 points when you submit your first receipt.

Groupon

Apps to save you money

This app (and website) offers deals on activities, beauty, travel restaurants etc. There are so many different categories and I’ve seen services listed for over 80% off.

Need an activity to take your kids too during summer break? Check Groupon. Chances are there is a pool or a zoo or SOMETHING that they’ll enjoy. So why not get it for 30%-80% off and stretch your money even further!

Want to get a massage for your anniversary? I did, so I looked up some places and all the nice ones were pricey. I went on Groupon and found an amazing three treatment package for 60% off. At one of the places I had looked at before even!

So make sure you sign up today and start saving money on activities you’re already doing!

Raise

Raise is an app that saves you money on gift cards. It has so many gift cards options to just about every place imaginable. Here you’ll save from 3%-30% off on average. You’ll get the virtual gift card in your inbox so that it can be used right away.

So now while you’re on the way to a restaurant or the store or even Starbucks for your morning coffee grab a quick discounted gift card.

You can also sell gift cards that you aren’t going to use to Raise and make real cash instantly. Now you’ll never have to let a gift card go unused again. Sign up today and you’ll get $5 off your first purchase!

Ibotta

Apps to Save Money Ibotta
So easy you can do it anywhere, anytime.

This app is a cash back specifically for shopping in person. I use it mostly when I go grocery shopping. You take a few minutes before your shopping trip and go through the deals happening at your store and add them to your account. I just add everything I think I might buy to my account.

Then after you’re done shopping you just take a picture of your receipt in the app then the cash back for all deals you actually ended up purchasing will get added to your account.

For stores like Krogers with store specific reward cards you don’t even have to upload a receipt. It’s all done automatically. I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks and made nearly $15 back on food shopping I was already doing. If you are looking for an easy way to save a few bucks on your grocery shopping I recommend downloading the Ibotta app!

Restaurant Apps

I recommend downloading the apps to your favorite restaurants because they always have reward programs. That means free food! I have earned a free pizza, free chips and guac, and free wings just to name a few. Slow and steady simply by uploading receipts after eating out.

Plus some places give random free rewards! The one that comes to mind is Chick-Fil-A. The other day I got a free shake and I currently have a free sandwich waiting for me. I don’t advise eating out extra just to earn points because that will cost you more in the end but when you do go out make sure you earn those points.

I have the apps for 10 different places on my phone, no shame.

Costa Vida: RACHELPEDR5176 (Free $4 for you!)

Cici’s Pizza: RachelP4948 (App is called mycicis, you get extra points)

Quiznos: RachelPedr3528 (Extra 10 points for you!)

Rakuten (Ebates)

So I think most of us think of the our computer when we think of Rakuten (they changed their name from Ebates) but they have an app too. You earn cash back on all qualifying purchases. Just normal shopping on sites like amazon and stores like Macys. You can even get cash back on Groupon so it’s a double whammy.

So make sure you earn back your hard earned coin by downloading the app because I don’t think purchases made on your phone should be excluded from cash back! PLUS I have a referral link that earns you $10 cash back so its a no brainer.

Dosh

The next up of apps to save money is Dosh. This is a cash back app where you link your debit and credit cards and on any qualifying purchases you earn automatic cash back. Using my referral link earns you a $1 when you sign up and connect a qualifying card. Once you earn $25 in cash back you can cash out to either your PayPal or bank account. They have stores you shop at everyday like Kroger, Pizza Hut, Forever 21 and more.

Apps to help you save money to travel

Receipt Hog

In this app you simply upload pictures of your receipts in return for coins. Once you have enough coins you cash them out for real cash to your PayPal or for Amazon gift cards. It is very easy to use and pretty much a no brainer.

Save Money Using Your Phone

Our phones are such powerful tools and we have them with us almost constantly. Let’s make sure we’re using them for good on top of the games and the social media. Send a happy text, call your mom, and save some money. All the cash back I earn from these apps I plan on saving up and using it for special extras when we travel! I hope you’re able to use these apps to save money as well.
