Pan Fried Cream Cheese Rangoons

Um hello, yes please. I’ll take 1,000,000 rangoons. No, no party. Just me! Haha I’m just kidding. Kind of… These pan fried cream cheese rangoons are absolutely delicious and so so easy to make. I feel like I say that a lot. Partially because I only choose to make recipes that I feel I can’t mess up!!

I love rangoons and I always thought they would be really complicated to make, so I didn’t even bother to look it up. Then I was looking for recipe and found these, it was instant love!

How to Fold Rangoons

The way I fold the rangoons was actually an experiment. We were going to a Harry Potter party with my family and I was trying to make them look like envelopes. It actually turned out really well! We keep doing them this way because they taste delicious AND they are easier to fry up.

Cream Cheese Rangoon Ingredients

Cream Cheese Rangoon Ingredients:

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 Tbs Garlic Powder
  • 1 stalk Green Onion
  • Wonton Wrappers
  • Oil

Dipping Sauce

  • Sweet Chili Sauce

Pan Fried Rangoon Instructions:

Time needed: 20 minutes

Here’s to good eating!

  1. Soften the Cream Cheese.

    First make sure your cream cheese is softened. either by leaving it out for a few hours or by microwaving it for 15-30 seconds.

  2. Mix.

    Next mix together the cream cheese, garlic powder and green onions.

  3. Put Mixture in the Wrapper.

    Place the wrapper in front of you so that it looks like a diamond. Now take about a 1/2 Tbs of the mixture and place it in the center of a wonton wrapper.

  4. Fold.

    Fold in the bottom corner. Next fold in the two side corners and finally fold down the top corner. Making sure all four corners get stuck in the cream cheese will help keep them in place while you fry them.

  5. Fry them up.

    Heat about a 4th cup of oil in a frying pan. Place as many rangoon’s in the pan as you can without them touching.
    Fry on each side until golden brown and serve with the sweet chili sauce.
