Memberships
1. Costco Membership (or Sam’s Club)
In college I had a friend who’s parents paid for a costco membership for all their kids as a christmas gift starting in college. I thought it was such a smart and practical gift. Shopping in bulk can lead to big savings when done right plus the food court has cheap and yummy food!
So by gifting a store membership you are giving the gift of savings. Plus you’re potentially paying for something they would have paid for themselves!
2. Amazon Prime Membership
Along those same lines, you can gift others an Amazon Prime Membership! Not only does this give them access to savings through free shipping and subscribe and save options on thousands of products. It also gives them access to TV shows, movies and books.
You can gift different lengths of memberships depending on your budget. They offer 3 month or 12 month options.
3. Audible Subscription
If your friend loves to read then you can gift them an audible subscription! Buying books is expensive, plus they take up so much space. Instead let them try audio books plus audible is basically giving the gift of books.
You can gift 3, 6 or 12 month memberships to fit any budget and person.
4. DIY Nail Kit
Going to professional salons for anything beauty related is very expensive. If your friend enjoys having their nails done but hates the price tag then gift them a DIY nail kit!
I started doing my own nails and it was not hard to learn at all! Anything you could do in a salon from gel nails, dip nails to regular polish or acrylics you can do at home.
For gel nails you will need this lamp kit (I use and LOVE this one) as well as extra colors!
For dip nails you will need this dip nail starter kit that comes with 6 colors to get you started.
If you’re gifting regular nail polish then this manicure set is perfect to go along with a few polish colors of your choosing.
And finally these impress press on nails look like, and last as long as, dip or gel but are much easier to put on!
5. Reusable Drink Cups
Buying water and drinks while you’re out and about is SUCH AN EXPENSIVE HABIT! Help make it more fun to bring a drink from home with pretty tumblers and water bottles!
If they’re a coffee or hot chocolate drinker then these travel mugs are perfect! There are over 50 colors and patterns to choose from. Gift it with a variety of flavors and fun creamers and you’re all set.
This reusable water bottle will keep water cold all day and encourage you to drink more water.
And these cute tumblers are great for flavored waters or sodas on the go!
6. Programmable Thermostat
Using a smart thermostat that you can set to change automatically throughout the day can save you so much money. Plus it is especially nice that the temperature will change automatically from night to day and back to night.
Another plus is that a programmable thermostat is a simple upgrade to your home that many people don’t think about or take a while to get too.
7. Pill Remover Machine
This machine is SO COOL. You know when certain fabrics pill and start looking really worn out? Well this fabric shaving machine removes all of that making clothes look as good as new! What could be better than refreshing your closet and furniture without spending a fortune.

You could even get them started by adding the personal touch of including a few of your favorite recipes to make.

Give the gift of easy dinners with an instant pot or crockpot. They can be huge time savers on busy days because you can prep dinner the night before or morning of and dinner will be done when you need it. This can help prevent eating out which is really expensive so it saves them money too.

12. Experiences
Next up on the gift guide for the frugal is experiences. Rather than giving physical gifts that can cause clutter and stress try giving experiences. You can pre-purchase groupons, season passes, concert tickets, flights, classes and so much more. The options are nearly endless.
Experiences give the gift of quality time and memories which can often mean more in the long run.
13. Gift Cards
Giving gift cards can sometimes feel like a cop-out gift but I think they are actually really useful! Giving gift cards to movies or restaurants can help couples go on fun date nights. And giving gift cards to retail stores lets them decide if the money goes towards practical things like groceries or their next seasonal wardrobes. Or they’ll decide if they’ll spend the money on something they have had their eye on but were saving up for.
Gift cards are so versatile. Make sure when you are purchasing gift cards that you use Raise. Not only can you get gift cards for up to 30% off but if you do purchase them full price then you can earn up to 10% cash back! And if you use THIS LINK you will get $5 off your first purchase.
Men Only Bonus:
Beard Trimming Bib
This beard trimming bib will help cut down on clean up time after every beard shave! It looks a little dorky but I got so tired of cleaning up tiny hair in the bathroom (or nagging my husband to do it) that I bought him this. It actually helps by catching the hairs so that they can be nicely thrown away in the trash when they are done.
Nobody likes cleaning more than they have to and this can help.
